DARTMOUTH, Mass. – The Roger Williams University baseball team dominated UMass Dartmouth on Thursday, 30-3.
Jack Morin (North Andover, Mass.) went 4 for 5 at the plate bringing in three RBIs.
Christopher Flynn (Randolph, N.J.) went a 2 for 4 with four RBIs.
London Camelo (Bristol, R.I.), Flynn,
Ethan Keeney (Harwich, Mass.) and
Owen Hibbard (Roxbury, Conn.) each recorded a double, while
Matt Falvey (Walpole, Mass.) and
Trevor Smith (Florham Park, N.J.) each hit a homerun.
In the top of the first inning, the Hawks tallied seven runs with the first coming off a sacrifice fly to short. Leading 7-0, Camelo hit a double to left center in the second to bring in a pair of runs taking an 9-0 lead before Falvey led off the top of the third with a two run shot.
After holding a 14-0 lead, the Corsairs added three runs in the bottom of the third cutting into the lead before the Hawks used another 16 runs over the final six frames to take a commanding lead.
Roger Williams (13-22, 8-6 CCC) will host Gordon on Saturday, May 6 for a CCC Doubleheader and for a Senior Day Ceremony beginning at 12 pm.
