BRISTOL, R.I. – The Roger Williams University men's soccer team played to the fifth draw of the season on Tuesday evening, remaining .500 on the season, with a 1-1 draw with the Bears of Bridgewater State on Bayside Field.
 
The Hawks had 15 shots with nine shots, going on target in the contest to Bridgewater State's 11 shots with six landing within the frame of the cage. Roger Williams had eight corner kicks in the match, holding the advantage in the category by six.
 
The Bears' William Russel had eight saves in the match allowing only one goal, while Hawks' goalkeeper, 
Hogan Cain (Nottingham, N.H.), had five saves in the match. 
Liam Blaisdell (Plymouth, Mass.) had two shots on goal in 56 minutes of action, with seven Hawks registering one attempt on target.
 
After a corner kick by the Bears, Nicholas Ribeiro was able to connect on a pass to Filippo Mucci
, giving the Bears the 1-0 lead in the 32
nd minute of action. 
Patrick Marino (Wyckoff, N.J.) came into the came shortly after the goal and provided a spark for the Hawks, scoring after being in the game for 4:15 seconds, leveling the score. Both sides saved a shot to head into the break knotted up at one a piece.
 
After having only two attempts in the first half the Hawks had 13 shots in the second, but were unable to find the back of the net as Bridgewater State stopped each attempt, as the teams remained knotted up.
 
Roger Williams (2-2-5, 0-0-1 CCC) will be back on the pitch, Saturday, Sept. 30 at 12:00 pm at Hempstead Stadium when they take on Endicott. The Hawks will also face WPI on the road Tuesday, Oct. 10 at 7:00 pm before hosting Western New England, Saturday, Oct. 7 at 12:00 pm.
