BRISTOL, R.I – The Roger Williams University men's basketball team move to 6-1 in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) play with win over University of New England (UNE) inside the Campus Recreation Center Gymnasium on Saturday afternoon.

Mac Annus (Belmont, Mass.) led the Hawks with 21 points, surpassing 1000 career points. Annus also contributed two rebounds, two assists, and one block.

John Ah Koa (Dumont, N.J.) went 5-7 for 17 points which was accompanied by two rebounds, three assists, and two steals. Sean Gogolin (Winchester, Mass.) led the Hawks defensively with five blocks and three steals, also contributing 13 points, four rebounds and one assist.

The Nor'esters Adam Lux led all scorers with 22 points along with six rebounds, one assist, and two steals. Kha Cao Ra James led all players with 11 rebounds while also securing one assist, and six points.

UNE had the advantage in points in the paint (50-42) and capitalized on points off turnovers (15-8). The Nor'easters also outscored the Hawks in second chance points (17-6). Bench points favored the Hawks with 31 compared to the Nor'easters' nine, and the Hawks took advantage of fast break points (28-12).

Roger Williams (8-7, 6-1 CCC) will travel to Beverly, Mass. To take on Endicott on Wednesday, Jan. 17 at 7:30pm before wrapping up their week on Saturday, Jan. 20 when they host Suffolk at 3pm.
