KISSIMMEE, Fla. - The Roger Williams University softball team continues their spring break trip, winning both games 4-0 over Simpson College and battling back to beat North Central College 4-2.
Against Simpson College, 
Kayleigh O'Connor (Southington, Conn.) started the scoring for the Hawks in the second with a base hit to bring in 
Josely Sosa (East Providence, R.I.). The next at bat saw 
Ava Mendence (East Providence, R.I.) bring O'Conner in, who was called safe at home after an obstruction call on Simpson's Luderman. The top of the sixth brought the Hawks two more runs after a double to left field from 
Jamie Wells (Castle Rock, Colo.). 
Skye Merrow (Hudson, N.H.) came in for relief for 
Reagan Germano (Old Tappan, N.J.) in the fifth to pick up her first save of the season as well as Germano's first win of the season.
 
Against North Central, the Cardinals struck first in the top of the third after RBI's from Katie Del Re and Talia Torosian. The Hawks battled back in the bottom of the third with an RBI from 
Taylor Howell (Sandwich, Mass.) and a two run RBI from 
Kelsey Burr (Warwick, R.I.) to put Roger up 2-3. Wells added to the lead after a heads up play lead her to score from third off a wild pitch. 
Natalie Lundari (Flemington, N.J.) picked up her second win of the season while going all seven innings for the Hawks.
Roger Williams (3-1 0-0 CCC) will play on Tuesday, Mar. 12 at 10 am against Hood College before battling Marywood at 2:45pm. The Hawks will then play Salem State on March 14
th at 11:45am.
