Endicott was rolling to start the game, picking up three runs in the first inning. Roger Williams responded in the third inning with two runs of their own. After a triple by Cali, Hawley doubled to right field to bring in the Hawks' first run. Jack Morin (North Andover, Mass.) hit a single later in the inning, bringing in Hawley to score and cut the Gulls' lead to one.
