BRISTOL, R.I. – The Roger Williams University baseball team defeated No. 3 seeded Suffolk, handing the Rams their first loss of the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Tournament, 3-1.
 
Nick Sheehan (Medway, Mass.) had a pair of RBIs in the contest with two hits, while Owen Hibbard (Roxbury, Mass.) added an RBI off a pair of hits in the game. Nolan Niziol (Sparta, N.J.) got the start for the Hawks going 3.0 innings with a strike out allowing three hits. Nick Gleason (Northboro, Mass.) picked up his third win of the season, coming in in relief pitching 6.0 innings with three hits and one walk, with three strikeouts.
 
Sam Armbruster, had the lone RBI of the game for the Rams, with a hit. Jonny Gilbride, Harry Painter, Max Iorio, Colin Flynn, and Garret Roberts had a hit in the matchup. Roberts picked up his third loss of the year, going 6.0 innings, with three earned runs allowed.

The Hawks responded in the bottom of the second inning when Sheehan hit a double to left center field brining in Ethan Keeney (Harwich, Mass.) and Chris Faraca (Peabody, Mass.) from first and second, taking the lead, 2-1.
 
In the fifth the Hawks added a run when Hibbard hit a single to second, bringing in London Camelo (Bristol, R.I.) for the 3-1 lead. Both teams would remain scoreless, as the Hawks held on for the win.
