BEVERLY, Mass. – The Roger Williams University softball team advanced to Championship Saturday, and will face the loser of No. 2 Western New England and No. 4 Wentworth, after defeating No. 3 Nichols, 3-0, on Thursday at Endicott.

In the bottom of the first, O'Connor came in to score, after Starratt hit a ball down the left field line for an RBI double.

Quadros allowed only two runners, one off an error, before the Hawks tallied a pair of runs off an error in the bottom of the fourth, that brought in Denovellis and O'Connor, putting the Hawks up 3-0.

With Nichols still trailing heading into the sixth, the Bison loaded the bases, but the Hawks forced a fielder's choice, getting the out at third, to maintain the shut out.
