BRISTOL, R.I. – The No. 2 seeded Roger Williams University Women's Volleyball team is set to host No. 3 Endicott in a Conference of New England (CNE) Semifinal on Thursday, Nov. 13 at 6:00 p.m. in the Campus Rec Center Gymnasium.
Roger Williams (15-10, 9-1 CNE) received a bye in the First Round of the conference tournament, in a three-way tie for first place in the league with Wentworth and the Gulls, all of whom finished with one loss in CNE action. Wentworth was separated, but the Hawks took the head-to-head meeting between Endicott and Roger Williams to secure the No. 2 seed.
Endicott (16-11, 9-1 CNE) defeated No. 6 UNE on Tuesday night to secure a semifinal appearance. Led by Hadley Helenbrook's 21 kills, the Gulls also saw three aces and nine digs from Helenbrook. Ava Grace Dresback and Hannah Maguire each earned a double-double, with Dresback recording 18 kills and 10 digs, and Maguire with 48 assists and 11 digs. Abby Downs tallied 26 digs, and Talia Camacho contributed four block assists.
The Hawks and Gulls are tight in the all-time series, with Endicott holding a slight 25-22 edge all-time. Each team has a seven-match winning streak, with the Gulls ending in this season as RWU took the regular-season meeting 3-1 (25-23, 27-25, 26-28, 25-16) back on Oct. 3.
Danielle Davis is in her 11th season leading the Hawks and has posted a 147-123 record with a 63-24 mark in CNE action, the most wins by a head coach in Roger Williams University Women's Volleyball history, and Davis was named the CNE Coach of the Year for the 2025 season. Endicott is guided by first-year Head Coach Emma Smallcomb, who has led the Gulls to 16 wins in her debut campaign.
Led by CNE Player of the Year Helenbrook, Endicott features a balanced attack anchored by a core of All-Conference standouts. Helenbrook has paced the Gulls with 400 kills (4.08 per set), 44 service aces, and 269 digs, while fellow First Team selections Ava Grace Dresback and setter Hannah Maguire have been key offensive contributors. Dresback has totaled 323 kills and 247 digs, and Maguire leads the conference with 966 assists (9.76 per set) and 53 aces. Second Team All-CNE libero Abby Downs anchors the defense with 396 digs, while middle hitters Angelina Fitzharris and Talia Camacho combine for over 80 total blocks and more than 200 points.
Roger Williams counters with a veteran lineup led by multiple All-Conference honorees, including First Team selection Kaylee Jackson, who leads the Hawks with 217 kills (2.33 per set) and 290 digs. Second Team pick Kaydence Fish adds 104 kills and 80 blocks, while Third Team honoree Peyton Felix has produced 183 kills and 75 blocks to strengthen the front line. Angela West and Brianna Picchietti have combined for 348 kills and 93 blocks, providing depth at the net, while setter Emma Bosco directs the offense with 623 assists (7.89 per set) and 194 digs. Libero Marianna Hernandez, a Third Team All-CNE selection, anchors the back row with a team-high 360 digs (3.87 per set) for a defense that has been among the league's best all season.
