BRISTOL, R.I. – The Roger Williams University Women's Volleyball team saw their season come to an end at the hand of No. 3 Endicott College 3-1 (25-22, 25-20, 24-26, 25-20) on Thursday evening at the Campus Rec Center in the Conference of New England (CNE) Semifinals.
Endicott hit .201, while Roger Williams hit .172 for the match. The Gulls collected 60 kills to the Hawks' 35. The Gulls also tallied 11 service aces, while the Hawks earned 13 blocks to Endicott's five.
CNE Player of the Year Hadley Helenbrook had 21 kills in the match while completing the double-double with 11 digs. Ava Grace Dresback had 16 kills with 13 digs for a double-double. Hannah Maguire had 45 assists and 16 digs to close out with three double-doubles for the Gulls in the match.
Roger Williams was led by seniors Kaylee Jackson (Naugatuck, Conn.) and Izzy Unsworth (Milford, N.H.) who each finished a kill shy of a double-double with nine, while Jackson had 13 digs, and Unsworth finished with 12. Emma Bosco (North Andover, Mass.) finished with 30 assists, and nine digs, while Angela West (Riverview, Fla.) hit .368 with eight kills on one error and 19 attempts, with six total blocks. Peyton Felix (Burnt Hills, N.Y.) and Kaydence Fish (Bedford, N.H.) also both finished with six block assists.
Roger Williams (15-11, 9-1 CNE) finished their season after earning a share of the CNE Regular season title, and reached the CNE Semifinal for the second consecutive year.
