BRISTOL, R.I. – Roger Williams University Men's Ice Hockey Head Coach Chris Hall has announced the appointment of Gabe Reis (Tenafly, N.J.) as the inaugural captain of the Roger Williams University Men's Ice Hockey team.
"I'm excited and proud to announce Gabe as the captain of the first NCAA Hockey team at Roger Williams University," said Hall.
"Since day one, Gabe has stepped up to embrace his role as an experienced upperclassman. He has earned the respect and trust of his teammates and coaches through his words and actions daily."
"Gabe demands the best out of himself and those around him. He is a steady presence on and off the ice and a great ambassador for our program. RWU Hockey is in great hands."
Through the opening five games of the season, Reis has dressed in all five and been a contributor on the ice, assisting in the Hawks' goal at #5 UNE.
Roger Williams (1-4, 0-4 CNE) will face Wentworth in a home-and-home series beginning on Friday, Nov. 21, at the Leopards at 6:00 pm, before hosting on Saturday, Nov. 22, at 5:00 pm.
