ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — Millsaps College picked up a  6-1 victory over Roger Williams University in a women's tennis match at the USTA National Campus on Sunday.

The match began with doubles competition, where Millsaps secured two of the three matches. The team of Mary Dabadie and Mackenzie Vordick defeated Roger Williams' Valentina Abarca and Gabrielle Petroniro 6-3, while Malakie Smith and Skylar Spinks earned a 6-1 win over Adriana Palmieri and Meghan Hughes. Roger Williams' lone doubles victory came from Izzy Pecora and Ella Mancini, who blanked Riley McClain and Alexis Oliver 6-0.

In singles play, Millsaps took control by winning five of six matches. Mary Dabadie delivered a commanding performance at No. 1 singles, defeating Izzy Pecora 6-0, 6-0. Riley McClain followed with a 6-1, 6-3 victory over Ella Mancini at No. 3 singles, while Alexis Oliver secured a 6-4, 6-2 win against Adriana Palmieri at No. 4. Skylar Spinks added to Millsaps' dominant effort with a 6-2, 6-1 victory over Annette Carter at No. 6. The most tightly contested match of the day came at No. 5 singles, where Segen Lister outlasted Gabrielle Petroniro in a third-set tiebreak, winning 4-6, 6-1, 10-8.

Roger Williams' only point came from Valentina Abarca at No. 2 singles, as she battled past Mackenzie Vordick in a marathon match, securing a 7-6 (16-14), 6-2 victory.

Roger Williams (12-5, 4-2 CNE) will face Northwestern on Monday, Mar. 10 at 3:00 pm at Oak Street Park.
