Elizabeth Dufrane added as Athletic Communications Graduate Assistant

BRISTOL, R.I. – Roger Williams University Athletics Communications Director Nick Gendreau announced that Elizabeth Dufrane has been selected as an Athletic Communications Graduate Assistant for the 2025–26 academic year. Dufrane, a former RWU student-athlete and leader within the RWU community, will bring her skills to the graduate assistant role.

"I'm incredibly grateful to continue my journey at Roger Williams as a Graduate Assistant," said Dufrane. "This University and the Women's Basketball program have given me so much. I'm excited for the opportunity to give back and stay involved with the campus community that's shaped me."

A 2025 graduate of RWU, Dufrane earned her degree in Business Management and concluded a five-year collegiate basketball career. She was a starter for the Hawks this past season and earned All-Conference Second Team honors, was named to the Academic All-Conference team, and was selected to play in the NEWBA All-Star Game. As a key contributor, she also helped lead the team to back-to-back Conference of New England (CNE) playoff appearances. Over her college career, Dufrane also played at Drexel University and the University of Mary Washington before transferring to Roger Williams.

In addition to her on-court accomplishments, Dufrane has also contributed to the game off the court. From 2021-22, she served as the Social Media Manager for the University of Mary Washington women's basketball team. In that role, she produced all digital content spotlighting team achievements, individual player successes, and behind-the-scenes moments. Currently, she also serves as the Social Media Manager for the Cramer's Sabers Battalion Army ROTC program, where she leads digital storytelling efforts and increased engagement through creative and consistent content across platforms.

"I am excited to continue to build out our Athletic Communications with Elizabeth on our staff," spoke Gendreau. "Her passion for RWU Athletics and the student-athlete mindset that she brings will be a great addition for our staff, as we continue to build around the Student-Athlete experience."
