BRISTOL, R.I. – The Roger Williams University Men's Soccer team saw their season opener suspended after the first half, due to inclement weather on Friday afternoon against Clark. The Hawks held a 1-0 lead after the opening 45:00 of play.
The stats of the game are unofficial due to NCAA rules of games suspended less than 70 minutes of play.
The lone goal at the point of suspension was scored by Tyler Jastrab, who scored in the 12th minute of play, after a pass from Dylan Robbins at his feet, and then fired into the back of the net past Diego Marin, who made four saves before the game was suspended.
Roger Williams (0-0, 0-0 CNE) will play at Emerson on Saturday, Aug. 30 at 3:00 pm in Boston. The Hawks will then host Rhode Island College on Tuesday, Sept. 2 at 6:00 pm on Bayside Field. The Hawks will then open Conferece of New England (CNE) play on Friday, Sept. 5 at 4:00 pm at Endicott.
