BRISTOL, R.I. – The Roger Williams University Women's Basketball team dropped a Conference of New England (CNE) matchup against Endicott, 50-60, on Tuesday night in the Campus Recreation Center.

Endicott kept Roger Williams at arm's length throughout the first half, going into the break 23-18. Roger Williams held a 26.9 percentage shooting from the field, while Endicott had the edge with a 34.5 percentage. Both teams struggled at the arc, with the Hawks and Gulls both going 3-of-9.

Coming off the break, the Hawks improved to 50 percent from the field on a 5-of-10 shooting, while Endicott posted a 33.3 on a 6-of-18. The Gulls still held the lead heading into the final quarter 39-29. RWU kept pace with Endicott with both collecting 21 points each in the fourth quarter, but it wasn't enough for Roger Williams to overcome the deficit.

The Hawks were led by Sophia Coppola (Madison, Conn.), who posted 14 points and nine rebounds with a block and a steal. Chloe Richardson (Norwell, Mass.) had nine points with three rebounds and a steal, while Sakoya Sweeney (Craftsbury, Vt.) picked up eight points, four rebounds, and a block. The Hawks took 22 points in the paint and finished with seven second-chance points.

Aleah Bracey led the Gulls with 21 points on a 7-of-16 shooting, snagging three rebounds and two steals. Tenley Wallin collected 11 points with three rebounds, while Tricia Wladkowski had eight points with eight rebounds and two steals.

Roger Williams (12-9, 8-4 CNE) will be back in action at Western New England on Wednesday, Feb. 11 before hosting Gordon for senior day on Saturday, Feb. 14 at 1:00 pm in the Campus Recreation Center. Endicott (13-7, 9-2 CNE) will host JWU on Saturday, Feb. 7 for their senior day before heading to UNE on Wednesday, Feb. 11.
