The Hawks saw Matthew Donovan (Stoneham, Mass.) pitch 3.0 innings, earning the loss, moving to 1-1 on the year, with four earned runs and six total in the game. Donovan struck out seven in his outing.

At the plate, Frank Master had four hits in five at-bats for Drew, while driving in three runs, with a double, and stealing a base. Roger Williams saw seven hits in the game, with Nick Dimaso (Cortlandt Manor, N.Y.) earning the lone extra base hit in the game with a double.

Drew tallied the first run of the game in the top of the first inning, as Nick Donofrio reached on an error by the second baseman, which allowed Master to come across unearned. The Rangers tacked on another run in the top of the second inning with Tetto leading off the inning with a single, and being brought around to score after a Master single.

In the third, Drew continued to expand their lead, with Anthony Vallaro hitting a two-run blast to center field. The Rangers added one more run in the inning, as Tetto hit a double to center field with Tyler Giordano coming around to score, taking a 5-0 lead.

In a double steal in the top of the fourth, Nick Bisaccia was able to sneak home, taking a 6-0 lead, while the Hawks were able to get on the board in the bottom half of the inning, with Florio coming around to score the Hawks lone run of the game, after a bases loaded walk by Rory Lynch (Easton, Conn.), battling back from a 1-2 count.

In the top of the fifth, Drew was able to bring in three runs as Dylan Gallagher opened with a single to right field. Standing on third after a sacrifice bunt by Griffin Shenman and a wild pitch, Master then hit a single that brought in Gallagher to score. With Master on second after a steal, Zach Maxwell then brought him in with an RBI single to center, before Donofrio homered to left field.

The Rangers brought in a run in the sixth and seventh to help secure the victory.
