BRISTOL, R.I. - RWU sophomore Kelsey McGee (Kings Park, N.Y.) has been named The Commonwealth Coast Conference Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week and RWU Female Athlete of the Week. McGee enjoyed a solid week in goal with two conference wins last week.

McGee posted three saves on the week and only allowed one goal in an away contest against second-place Endicott. The 2-1 win over the Gulls ensured the first place spot for the Hawks heading into the last week of the regular season.

Saturday McGee registered her third shutout on the season, helping the Hawks to a 2-0 win over Eastern Nazarene. McGee currently ranks among the conference leaders with a save percentage of .781.

The Hawks (13-3-0, 12-0-0 TCCC) are next in action Wednesday at home against Regis College at 3:30 p.m.
