Roger Williams University Athletics

BRISTOL, R.I. –Roger Williams University freshmen Jamie Wandzilak (Wantagh, N.Y.) and Kevin Terbush (Burnt Hills, N.Y.) have been named the Female and Male RWU Athletes of the Week for October 31, 2011.

Wandzilak finished 10th out of 103 runners in the CCC Cross Country Championship with a 6K time of 24:51. The Hawks placed 3rd out of eight CCC teams.  She was named the CCC Rookie Runner of the Year.

Terbush placed first among 62 runners in the CCC Cross Country Championship. He finished with an 8K time of 27:43 to help the Hawks claim the team’s 11th consecutive CCC Championship title.  He was named the CCC Runner and Rookie of the Year.

Both the men’s and women’s cross country teams will run at the ECAC Championships at Williams College on Saturday, November 5.
