RWU also got contributions from Travis O'Dell (Brunswick, Maine), who went for 13 points and six rebounds, and Corey Fava (Aliso Viejo, Calif.), adding eight points and six assists.

Both teams kept pace with each other in the first half, with five ties and four lead changes in the period. The Hawks took their largest lead of the half on a pair of free throws by Bashaw, putting RWU up 28-19 with 6:18 to play in the period.
