MILTON, Mass. – The Roger Williams University Men's Tennis team picked up its first Commonwealth Coast Conference win of the 2008-09 season with an 8-1 victory over Curry College Tuesday afternoon.

Kyle Baker (Bolton, Conn.) won his third match in a row with a 7-6, 6-3 decision over Matthew Lawrence in #5 singles, while Ryan Kim (Port Washington, N.Y.) moves over .500 in singles play with his 6-1, 6-0 win over Justin Levine in #2 singles.

Jeff DeNunzio also won a pair of matches, taking a 6-3, 6-4 decision over Charles Edlund in #3 singles. In doubles play, he and Jeffrey Agonia (Lincoln, R.I.) paired up for the 8-3 victory over Levine and Brian Leahy.

Dan Kleitz (Wethersfield, Conn.) edged out a close 6-4, 5-7, 10-8 win over Leahy in the fourth flight for his fifth singles win of the season. Also earning wins for RWU were Brad Bolte (Augusta, N.J.) in #1 singles and Spencer Withington (Plymouth, Mass.) in #6 singles. Bolte defeated Tyler Brown by a 6-1, 6-2 score with Withington taking his match 6-2, 6-1.

Roger Williams (5-6) will play Bridgewater State College Thursday afternoon at 3:30 p.m.
