BRISTOL, R.I. – The top-seeded Roger Williams University Men's Tennis team opened up The Commonwealth Coast Conference Tournament with a 9-0 win Saturday afternoon over eighth-seeded Gordon College.

The Hawks took all three doubles matches, beginning with Jeff DeNunzio (Barrington, R.I.) and Dan Kleitz (Wethersfield, Conn.) with an 8-3 win over Gary Gaudio and Michael Larson in the first flight. Kyle Baker (Bolton, Conn.) and Brad Bolte (Augusta, N.J.) defeated Evan Williamson and Carl Quinion 8-5 in #2 doubles, and Jeffrey Agoni (Lincoln, R.I.) and Ryan Kim (Port Washington, N.Y.) won 8-1 over Dan Hayner and Eric Musser.

Bolte extended his winning streak in #1 singles to ten straight with a 6-0, 6-1 over Gaudio. David Lange (Great Neck, N.Y.) won his #4 singles match over Musser by a 6-1, 6-2 margin, with Baker defeating Baker 6-3, 6-3 in the sixth flight.

Roger Williams (15-6, 9-0 TCCC) advances to the TCCC Semifinals Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. where the Hawks will host #4 seed Colby-Sawyer College.
