BOSTON, Mass. – The Roger Williams University Women's Volleyball team improved to 5-1 on the season with a 3-0 victory Tuesday evening over Emmanuel College.

The Hawks took the first set by a 25-17 score, followed by back-to-back wins of identical 25-20 scores.

Senior Brittney Sullivan (Nashua, N.H.) led the Hawks with nine kills on 19 attempts with only three errors. She also had 11 digs to go along with her kills. Classmate Rebekah Dion (Old Saybrook, Conn.) and junior Marybeth Torpey (Quincy, Mass.) each added seven kills for RWU as well.

Sophomore Emily Lebowitz (Coventry, Conn.) handed out 19 assists on the night, while freshman Sarah DeVries (Dover Plains, N.Y.) finished with 11 assists for RWU. Senior Jill Hurd (Sunapee, N.H.) dug out 19 balls on the evening.

Roger Williams will host its annual RWU Invitational Saturday morning with the first match against Rivier College scheduled for 11:00 a.m.
