BRISTOL, R.I. – The Roger Williams University Men's Tennis team wrapped up its fourth straight win with an 8-1 decision over Gordon College Thursday afternoon to move into third place in The Commonwealth Coast Conference.

The Hawks swept the three doubles matches and took five of the six singles matches in the win. Kevin Erikson (Tolland, Conn.) and Dan Kleitz (Wethersfield, Conn.) teamed up for the 8-4 win against Nate Musser (Madison, Wisc.) and Carl Quinion (Westerville, Ohio) at #1. Nicholas Hawvermale (Bethlehem, Conn.) and Jason Pacino (North Reading, Mass.) won their #2 match 9-7 against Gary Gaudio (Miller Place, N.Y.) and Eric Musser (Lake Grove, N.Y.), with Jonathan Chandler (East Falmouth, Mass.) and Jeff DeNunzio (Barrington, R.I.) wrapping up the sweep with an 8-2 win at #3 over Josh Cornwall (East Berlin, Conn.) and Kenneth Gaudio (Miller Place, N.Y.).

At singles, Nate Rohman (Topsham, Maine) picked up his second #6 win the year with a 6-2, 6-4 decision over Cornwall. Pacino won his fourth straight singles match as well, defeating Eric Musser 7-6, 6-4.

Nate Musser had the sole win on the day for Gordon, beating Taylor Webster (Bristol, Conn.) 6-2, 6-4 at #5.

Roger Williams (10-6, 6-1 TCCC) hosts Endicott College Saturday at 1:00 p.m., while Gordon (8-7, 4-4 TCCC) travels to Wentworth Institute of Technology Saturday at noon.
