BRISTOL, R.I. – The Roger Williams University Men's Tennis team rolled to its sixth straight victory with a 6-3 win over Endicott College Saturday afternoon in a Commonwealth Coast Conference match.

After winning two of the three doubles matches to open the contest, the Hawks would go on to take four of the six singles matches en route to the win.

Spencer Withington (Plymouth, Mass.) and Jeff DeNunzio (Barrington, R.I.) started off with an 8-3 win over Evan Ross and Porter Williams at #2 doubles. Earning the other doubles win for the Hawks were Nicholas Hawvermale (Bethlehem, Conn.) and Jason Pacino (North Reading, Mass.) with an 8-0 win over Jake Cohen and Oliver Joggi at #3.

Withington bested Ross at singles play as well, with a 6-4, 7-6 (4) win at #5, while Kevin Erikson (Tolland, Conn.) won 6-1, 6-1 at #2 over Williams. Nate Rohman (Topsham, Maine) took a 6-4, 6-1 decision over Cohen at #6.

Earning wins for Endicott was Joggi and Zach Arpey at singles. Joggie defeated Dan Kleitz (Wethersfield, Conn.) 6-2, 6-4 at #3 while Arpey won 6-4, 4-6, 10-8 at #3 against Pacino. Arpey also picked up a win at #1 doubles, pairing up with Devon Locke for an 8-3 win against Kleitz and Erikson.

Roger Williams (11-6, 7-1 TCCC) hosts Western New England College on Monday, while Endicott (9-6, 7-3 TCCC) takes on Wheaton College Tuesday.
