SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Roger Williams University Men's Basketball senior center Pat Flanagan (Somerville, Mass.) has been named Commonwealth Coast Conference Player of the Week.
Flanagan collected three straight double-doubles and averaged an impressive 24.0 points, 12.3 rebounds, 3.3 blocked shots and 1.3 steals per game as the Hawks rolled to a 2-1 weekly record in CCC play last week. In addition to hitting his first 11 shots from the field, Flanagan registered 34 points, 12 rebounds and three blocks in a 79-75 victory over Nichols.
He followed with 22 points and 13 boards in a tough 69-68 setback to Western New England. Flanagan closed out the week with 16 points, 12 rebounds and six blocks in a 75-72 win over host Salve Regina. In three games, Flanagan shot an impressive 64% from the field (30-of-47) and 80% from the line (12-of-15).
Flanagan and the Hawks travel to Eastern Nazarene College Wednesday for an 8:00 p.m. game.
