Box Score BRISTOL, R.I. – Hawks advance to Commonwealth Coast Conference Tournament Championship with straight set win over Western New England (25-17, 25-20, and 25-23). The Hawks improve to 20-10 overall and 8-1 in CCC action while the Grizzlies regular season ends with a record of 22-7 and 7-3 in CCC play.
The Hawks received solid play from the left side hitting tandem
Kelsey Twarog (Barkhamsted, Conn.) and
Elizabeth Flaherty (Sloatsburg, N.Y.) combining for 25 kills of 49 attempts. A trio of middle blockers including
Krystie Luczynski (Kensington, Conn.),
Andrea Gorman (Wilbraham, Mass.), and
Holly Hancock (Tilton, N.H.) chipped in ten kills and six block assist.
Abby Cunningham (Catasauqua, Pa.) played perhaps her best match of the season tally 10 kills on 19 attempts, a perfect 10 for 10 from the service line and 6 for 6 in serve reception, she added 8 digs and 4 blocks.
Tyler Singh (Dumont, N.J.) and Kasey Cameron (Reading, Mass.) led the Grizzlies offense with six kills each and Grace Kucharski (Avon, Conn.) kept WNE defense scrapping with 13 digs.

Ben Somera commented, "The team did their homework this week and executed our game plan really well. Our block did a real nice job of blocking balls hit into them and slowing down the quick attack. I thought Nicole (Poulsbo, Wash.) did a nice job distributing our offense and
Kelsee Loche (Millis, Mass.) did a super job of communicating and directing the attention of our passers."
