She also tallied six service aces, a 1.000 reception percentage, and helped hold opponents to a .094 hitting percentage on the week.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK – Roger Williams University freshman outside hitter Elizabeth Flaherty (Sloatsburg, N.Y.) averaged 4.00 kills and an impressive .561 hitting percentage in six sets this week. Flaherty logged a notable 14 kills and nine digs in the Hawks 3-0 semifinal victory over WNE, while tallying zero errors. She also recorded a double-double in a 3-0 CCC championship victory over Salve Regina, with 10 kills and 16 digs. The top-seeded Hawks (21-10) earned the CCC's automatic berth to the NCAA Tournament.

Coach Ben Somera commented on the awards, "Individual honors are a bi-product of team success.  When our athletes receive individual awards and honors it is a reflection of the effort and work our entire team puts fourth.  For every kill recorded in a match there is a pass or dig and set that happened before it.  And for every dig there was a serve and a block that funneled the ball to a digger.  I am extremely proud of the effort our team gave this past week and the honors that Liz, Kelsey, and Kelsee received because of it."

The Hawks will be back in action on Friday, November 9th at 3:00 p.m. at Connecticut College in New London, Conn. Taking on Springfield College in the first round of the NCAA DIII Championship Tournament.
