ORLANDO, Fla. – The Roger Williams University Men's Tennis team moved to .500 in Florida, winning their final match of spring break, a 6-3 victory over Bethel University.
The Hawks opened the match with a pair of wins at doubles, beginning with Kevin Erikson (Tolland, Conn.) and Jason Pacino (North Reading, Mass.) defeating Reggie Ronning and Steve Schull 8-4 at #1. Zack Bussiere (Colchester, Vt.) and Eric Laboissonniere (Cumberland, R.I.) followed suit with an 8-3 win at #3 over David Leafblad and Luke Palmquist.
At singles, Laboissonniere picked up another win with a 6-0, 6-1 victory over Steve Schull at #3. Kyle Bull (Pleasantville, N.Y.) came away with a 6-0, 6-2 win at #5 over Palmquist. Pacino picked up his second win of the day by defeating Brett Lizotte 7-5, 6-4 at #6. Bussiere earned the fourth singles win for the Hawks, coming back for a 2-6, 6-3, 10-5 victory at #3.
