EASTON, Mass. – The Roger Williams University Men's Tennis team had its three-match winning streak halted by Stonehill College, as the Skyhawks defeated RWU 9-0.

Despite the sweep, Roger Williams remained competitive with Stonehill in a majority of the matches. At #2 doubles, Nick Hyzak and Thomas Alaimo took a slim 9-8 (7-5) victory over  Ryan Swanson (West Newbury, Mass.) and Jonah Schwartz (Orange, Conn.). Zack Bussiere (Colchester, Conn.) and Eric Laboissonniere (Cumberland, R.I.) lost a hard-fought 9-7 decision to Brett Armstrong and Philip Klados at #3.

At singles, Eric Ringstad just got past Bussiere at #1, winning by a 2-6, 7-5, 10-5. Alaimo took Taylor Webster (Bristol, Conn.) to three sets, coming away with a 6-3, 3-6, 6-3 victory at #3, while Klados pushed past Swanson 7-6 (7-4), 1-6, 10-5 at #4.

Roger Williams (3-4) takes on UMass-Dartmouth Thursday at home.
