BRISTOL, R.I. – The Roger Williams University Men's Tennis team notched its third straight win with an 8-1 victory over Endicott College Tuesday afternoon, as both teams braved cold and windy conditions throughout the match.

The Hawks began the day with two wins at doubles play. Jonah Schwartz (Orange, Conn.) and Ryan Swanson (West Newbury, Mass.) came away with an 8-5 win over Eric Gandrup (Sudbury, Mass.) and Benjamin Randlett (Middlebury, Vt.) at #2, while Zack Bussiere (Colchester, Conn.) and Eric Laboissonniere (Cumberland, R.I.) eased into an 8-1 win over  Timothy Forance (Natick, Mass.) and Michael Lauretano (Winchester, Mass.) at #3.

Jake Cohen (Barrington, R.I.) and Olivier Joggi (Stoneham, Mass.) gave the Gulls what would prove to be their only point of the match with an 8-2 win over Kevin Erikson (Tolland, Conn.) and Jason Pacino (North Reading, Mass.).

At singles, Laboissonniere and Kyle Bull (Pleasantville, N.Y.) each earned 6-2, 6-0 wins at #3 and #5 with respective wins over Randlett and Forance. Similarly, Taylor Webster (Bristol, Conn.) and Swanson posted identical 6-3, 6-0 wins at #2 and #4, respectively, as Webster defeated Evan Ross (Worcester, Mass.) and Swanson won over Cohen. Pacino claimed a 6-3, 6-4 decision over Michael Dolph at #5, while Bussiere closed the match out with a 6-2, 5-7, 10-5 win over Joggi.

Roger Williams (6-5, 3-0 CCC) will take the week of before hosting Nichols College next Wednesday. Endicott (4-5, 0-2 CCC) hosts Gordon College on Thursday.
