BRISTOL, R.I. – The top-seeded Roger Williams University Men's Tennis earned a berth to the Commonwealth Coast Conference Championship Match for the sixth straight season with a 5-1 victory over the #4 seed Endicott College Wednesday afternoon.

The Hawks began the day by taking two of the three doubles spots for a 2-1 advantage. CCC Player of the Year Zack Bussiere (Colchester, Conn.) and Eric Laboissonniere (Cumberland, R.I.) led off with an 8-5 win over Timothy Forance (Natick, Mass.) and Michael Lauretano (Winchester, Mass.) at #3. Kevin Erikson (Tolland, Conn.) and Jason Pacino (North Reading, Mass.) followed with an 8-2 win at #1 over Olivier Joggi (Stoneham, Mass.) and Jake Cohen (Barrington, R.I.).

At #2, however, the Gulls were able to jump on the board with Benjamin Randlett (Middlebury, Vt.) and Eric Gandrup (Sudbury, Mass.) pulling out a hard-fought 9-7 victory over Ryan Swanson (West Newbury, Mass.) and Jonah Schwartz (Orange, Conn.)

At singles play, the Hawks came away with wins at #3, #5, and #6 to secure their spot in the championships. Swanson stepped up first by defeating Lauretano 6-3, 6-1 at #5, followed by Taylor Webster (Bristol, R.I.) coming through with a 6-3, 6-0 win at #3. Kyle Bull (Pleasantville, N.Y.) clinched the match for RWU with a 6-3, 6-2 decision at #6.

Roger Williams (12-6) will host the #2 seed Nichols College on Saturday in the CCC Championship, while Endicott closes out the season at 11-8.
