Box Score NEW LONDON, Conn.- The #23 Roger Williams University Women's Volleyball team improved to 18-0 with a 3-1 victory over Coast Guard Academy Saturday afternoon.
Sophomore Maggie Hine had a game-high 31 assists but it was not enough as the Coast Guard volleyball team fell to Roger Williams in four sets Saturday in a non-conference match-up. With the victory, Roger Williams improves to 18-0, while Coast Guard falls to 10-4 on the season.
After dropping the first set 25-13, the Bears responded well by winning set number two by a 25-23 margin, attacking at a .250 clip. Coast Guard would drop the next two sets 25-21 and 25-15 to complete the final margin.

Nicole Weber added 29 and 17 assists, respectively, while three players recorded double-digit dig totals.
Sophomore Ashley Dumont led the Bears in attacking at .231, totaling five kills. Senior Samantha Marmolejo led the team with 16 digs while freshman Rebekah Muller's 11 kills were also a team-best.
For the match, Roger Williams out-hit Coast Guard .225-.071 and held an edge of 68-47 in the total dig count.
Coast Guard returns to action on Tuesday, October 1st when they host Babson in a New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference contest at 7:00 pm. Roger Williams will host Eastern Nazarene College at the same scheduled time.
