Wrestling ranked 18th in the Nation

Welch and Crowell rank top 10 in their respective weight classes

BRISTOL, R.I. – The Roger Williams University Wrestling Team ranks 18th in the National Wrestling Coaches Association D3 weekly poll for Feb 11 2014. The Hawks dropped three spots this week while picking up two wins and improving their record to 16-1.

The Hawks also have two wrestlers ranked in the top ten in their weight class. Sophomore David Welch (Salem, N.H) holds the 3rd spot in the nation at 184 lbs. while senior Colin Crowell (Hampstead N.H) is 10th in the nation at 165 lbs.

The Hawks return to action on February 16th in Springfield, Mass to take on the Golden Bears of Western New England at 1:00 p.m. in a Pilgrim League matchup.
