BRISTOL, R.I. – The Roger Williams University Men's Tennis team posted an 8-1 victory over Bridgewater State University on Thursday afternoon at the RWU Tennis Courts. The Hawks improve their season record to 5-2, while the Bears drop to 2-4.

Sophomore Eric Laboissionniere (Cumberland, R.I.) paced Roger Williams as he posted a 6-0, 6-1 straight set win at first singles against Jesse Gotlib (Dartmouth, Mass.) and teamed with junior Zack Bussiere (Colchester, Conn.) for an 8-0 triumph at second flight doubles against Gotlib and Cody Farrell (Scituate, Mass.). Bussiere also won in straight sets at second singles, 6-0, 6-1 over Farrell.

Senior Taylor Webster (Bristol, Conn.) added a 6-1, 6-3 singles victory at the third flight against Hung Huynh (Worcester, Mas.) and paired with junior Ryan Swanson (West Newbury, Mass.) for an 8-1 decision at the top doubles spot against Huynh and Eric Johnson (Kingston, Mass.).

Johnson picked up the Bears' lone win of the afternoon at fourth singles. Johnson came away with a 6-1, 7-5 over Swanson.
