Hawks help out with freshman move-in

BRISTOL, R.I. – Throughout this past week, student-athletes from the Roger Williams University Athletic Department took a little time out of their preseason activities to help assist the incoming Class of 2018 with moving in to their new dorms.

On Wednesday morning, members of the Men's and Women's Cross Country teams helped the new students move it Cedar, Willow, and Maple Hall. Friday afternoon saw members of the Men's Soccer and Field Hockey team assisting freshman, while Volleyball, Women's Tennis, and Women's Soccer helped out on Saturday morning.

With warm weather and sunny skies throughout the week, RWU student-athletes enjoyed move-in in optimal conditions. With the stress involved with arriving on campus for the first time, the Hawks lending a hand helped give the incoming freshmen one less thing to worry about.

"Freshmen move-in was fun; it was a good experience," said Volleyball sophomore Elizabeth Wait. "We got to meet some of the new freshmen and help them adjust to Roger Williams."

We'd like to thank our student-athletes for their help and on behalf of the entire University, we'd like to welcome all of our new students!
