Men’s Tennis takes down SUNY Oneonta

Box Score KISSIMMEE, Fla. – The Roger Williams University Men's Tennis team earned its second win of the team's Spring Break trip, earning a 6-3 victory over SUNY Oneonta Tuesday morning.

The Hawks opened up the day with a sweep at doubles. Eric Laboissonniere (Cumberland, R.I.) and Ryan Swanson (West Newbury, Mass.) rolled to an 8-2 with at #1 over Benjamin Leighton and Mackenzie Park, while Grant Rosenberg (Melville, N.Y.) and Jonah Schwartz (Orange, Conn.) claimed a 9-7 win at #2 against Matteo Befi and Matthew Richards. Kyle Bull (Pleasantville, N.Y.) and Zack Bussiere (Colchester, Conn.) notched the third win for RWU, defeating Cole Laffitte and Joseph Morris 8-4 at #3.

Though Roger Williams and SUNY Oneonta split the flights 3-3 at singles play, the Hawks' 3-0 advantage entering the matches gave the team the edge towards the win. Laboissonniere rolled to a 6-4, 6-3 win against Leighton at #1, with Bussiere adding a 6-0, 6-1 victory against Park at #2. Rosenberg earned the final win on the day for the Hawks, defeating Richards 6-2, 2-6, 10-7 at #5.

Roger Williams (2-2) closes out the Spring Break trip Thursday against Lake Forest College.
