Connecticut College wins 7-2 over Women’s Tennis

Box Score WINTER HAVEN, Fla. – Connecticut College collected a 7-2 win over the Roger Williams University Women's Tennis team Monday morning during the two squads' Spring Break trip.

Roger Williams opened the day taking one of the three doubles matches. 1. Julia Akerman and Lauren Schmidt (South Windsor, Conn.) came away with an 8-5 win over Aleksandra Drljaca and Adrienne Sieverding at #1.

At singles play, the Hawks were only able to take one point. Ali Stankiewicz (Brunswick, Maine) served up a 6-3, 4-6, 10-4 victory at #5 over Emily White. Gabrielle Riley (Barnstable, Mass.) had the closest match of the remaining five matches, falling 6-3, 6-3 to Susanna Studwell.

Roger Williams (11-6) will take on SUNY Oneonta in the team's next match.
