Men’s Tennis rolls to 9-0 win over UMass-Dartmouth

Box Score BRISTOL, R.I. – The Roger Williams University Men's Tennis team collected its second win in as many days with a 9-0 victory over the University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth Wednesday afternoon.

The Hawks began the day winning a pair of 8-1 decisions at doubles play. Grant Rosenberg (Melville, N.Y.) and Jonah Schwartz (Orange, Conn.) defeated Jake Joskolka (Mattapoisett, Mass.) and Ray Lawton (Fairhaven, Mass.) at #2, while Zack Bussiere (Colchester, Conn.) and Kyle Bull (Pleasantville, N.Y.) won at #3 over Malcolm Neville (Foxboro, Mass.) and Andrew Burdick (Dartmouth, Mass.). At #1, Daniel Chouinard (Westport, Mass.) and Corey Rafter (Franklin, Mass.) were able to notch two points against Eric Laboissonniere (Cumberland, R.I.) and Ryan Swanson (West Newbury, Mass.) but still fell 8-2.

At singles, Rosenberg started things off for RWU with a 6-3, 6-0 win over Cory Hoi (Westerly, R.I.) at #5, shortly followed by Schwartz winning 6-0, 6-0 against Rafter at #4. Swanson followed suit with his 6-1, 6-4 win at #3 over Joskolka, then Bussiere winning 6-1, 6-1 over Lawton. Laboissonniere and Bull wrapped up the match with respective wins at #1 (6-3, 6-3) and #6 (6-3, 6-2).

Roger Williams (4-3) continues its busy week Saturday against Endicott, while UMass-Dartmouth (0-4) will face Salem State next.
