Box Score DUDLEY, Mass. – The Nichols College women's soccer team fell 4-0 to Roger Williams in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action Tuesday afternoon at the Nichols Soccer Field.
The Bison were outshot on the game 23-1 – including 12-0 in shots on goal.
The Hawks collected a pair of goals in each half and opened the scoring at 5:54 in the first half when a cross came from the right side by sophomore
Raleigh LeMiere-Barnes (Los Angeles, Calif.) to the left post for junior
Kasey Provost (Peabody, Mass.) who finished for the goal.
In the 37th minute, the lead stretched to 2-0 when sophomore
Maddie Neri (Upton, Mass.) found the lower right side of the net for her first goal of the season. Senior
Jordyn Labriola (Hopkinton, Mass.) was credited with the assist on the goal.
After another goal by Provost at 61:50, the Hawks collected their fourth and final goal of the afternoon just 32 seconds later as junior
Samantha Woznicki (Bristol, Conn.) potted her first goal of the season.
Senior Jillian Krish (Rockland, Mass.) had the only shot of the day for the Bison while Provost paced the Hawks with a game-high four shots.
Sophomore Brooke Downey (Middleboro, Mass.) made eight saves in the loss while junior
Sydney Martin (Scarborough, Maine) did not have to record a save to pick up her second shutout of the year.
The Bison have now dropped 14 matches in a row to the Hawks who lead the all-time series at 17-9-1.
Nichols (3-11-1, 0-7-0 CCC) will be at Eastern Nazarene Friday, October 21 at 5:30 p.m., while Roger Williams (8-6-2, 5-0-2 CCC) hosts UNE Saturday, October 22 at 12:30 p.m.
