Box Score DUDLEY, Mass. – Trailing 2-1 following doubles play, the Nichols College men's tennis team rallied to win 5-of-6 singles matches to earn a 6-3 victory over Roger Williams University on Wednesday afternoon in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action in Dudley, Mass.
 
The Bison improve to 15-2 overall and 6-0 in the CCC, while the Hawks drop to 7-5 and 4-2 in league matches. Nichols returns to action on Saturday afternoon when it travels to Wentworth for a 5:00 p.m. match against the Leopards.
 
Junior Blake Norton and freshman August Moeller teamed to earn the lone point of doubles play for the Bison with an 8-6 win at No. 1 doubles over senior Grant Rosenberg and junior Nick Spoor. The Hawks knotted the match at 1-1 with an 8-5 win at No. 2 doubles by sophomore Brendan White and freshman Jared Deibe over sophomore Guilherme Barbosa and Peter Coletti.
 
Roger Williams rounded out doubles play with a 2-1 advantage as sophomores Jake Cole and Thomas O'Leary handed sophomore Brandon Howard and junior Igor Markowski a 9-7 setback at No. 3 doubles.
 
Barbosa rebounded in singles play, knotting the match at 2-2 with a 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 2 singles over Rosenberg. Norton followed with a 6-3, 6-1 win at No. 3 singles over Spoor, while Moeller earned a 6-0, 6-2 win at No. 5 singles over Deibe to put the Bison in front, 4-2. Freshman Brandon Stewart clinched the match for Nichols with a 6-4, 6-1 win at No. 4 singles over Cole, while the Hawks would get one back at No. 6 singles when O'Leary bested sophomore Jack Donaldson, 7-5, 6-0.
 
After dropping the first set of his No. 1 singles match against White, 6-2, Brandon Howard battled back to win the next two sets by matching scores of 6-2, 6-2 to give the Bison the 6-3 victory.
