Men’s Tennis Drops Match To Connecticut College

Box Score NEW LONDON, Conn. – Connecticut College earned a 9-0 dual match win over the Roger Williams University Men's Tennis team on Thursday evening at the Luce Field House.
 
Seniors Patrick Farrell (Smithtown, N.Y.) and Ben Sachs (Mount Kisko, N.Y.) were each victorious in singles and doubles play.
 
Sachs defeated Jared Deibe (Oakland, N.J.) in straight sets by identical 6-1 scores and teamed up with junior Will Cannon (Fairfield, Conn.) to record an 8-0 win at the top doubles spot against Deibe and Nick Spoor (Ballston Spa, N.Y.). Farrell rallied to win his No. 4 singles match, 4-6, 6-0 and 11-9 against Matty Feldman (Duxbury, Mass.) while also pairing with freshman Zak Danz (Vineyard Haven, Mass.) to notch an 8-2 triumph at No. 2 doubles over Feldman and Miles Conlin (Branford, Conn.).
 
Freshman SangJin Song (Roslyn, N.Y.) also posted an eye-opening win from the No. 3 singles position. He downed Thomas O'Leary (North Easton, Mass.) by set scores of 6-0 and 6-2.
