Fox Tree-McGrath Posts Two Top-20 Finishes At NCAA Championships

OSHKOSH, Wisc. – Roger Williams University Women's Track & Field junior Savannah Fox Tree-McGrath (Billerica, Mass.) made her debut at the NCAA Championship, competing in the Javelin Throw and the High Jump.
 
Oh Thursday, Fox Tree-McGrath competed in the Javelin Throw, where she earned 11th place among the 22-person field. She posted a throw of 39.38m (129' 2") on her final attempt after a long of 37.60m on her second throw.
 
On Friday, Fox Tree-McGrath had her final event of the championship in the High Jump. In the event, she cleared a height of 1.65m (5' 5"), putting her in 15th place. She eased through 1.57m and 1.62m on her first attempts before clearing 1.65m on her second. Unfortunately she was unable to best the 1.68m height.
 
Fox Tree-McGrath represented RWU as the first athlete in program history to qualify for the NCAA Championship.
