GRANBY, Mass. – The Roger Williams University Men's Golf team finished in a tie for third place at the two-day Elms College Invitational.
Hawk Highlights
Ryan Burrill (Southington, Conn.) earned his second top-five finish in a row after tying for fourth place overall with his two-day score of 150. After shooting a 76 on day one, he notched a round of 74 on day to finish at +6.
Justin Hayes (Bedford, N.H.) tied for ninth overall. He carded a 74 in the opening round but shot 79 on day two, ending the tournament at +9.
Cullen Zurcher (Glastonbury, Conn.) shaved six strokes off his round between day one and day two. His second-day round of 75 improved upon his first-day round of 81. He would finish at +12 overall and in a tie for 15
th place.
Terry Baker (Fiskdale, Mass.) made his season debut at the tournament, posting an 87 to begin the tournament. On day two, he would best his round by seven stroke to shoot an 80 and finish in a tie for 34
th at +23.
Ben Brodeur (Whitinsville, Mass.) concluded the tournament for the Hawks with rounds of 84 and 85 over the course of both days. His final score of +25 put him in a tie for 38
th place.
Westfield State claimed the team title while Westfield State's Ryan Koczela and Springfield's Mike Strong tied for medalist honors at 70 (-1).
