WESTON, Mass. – The Roger Williams University Swimming & Diving team took three weekly NEISDA awards, as
Brooke Britt (Sag Harbor, N.Y.) was named NEISDA Diver of the Week while
Hunter Wronski (Shelton, Conn.) and
Ben Giroux (West Hartford, Conn.) were respectively honored as NEISDA Swimmer Diver of the Week.
Britt took first place in the 1-Meter Dive with a score of 142.35 and made her first appearance on 3-Meter boards, finishing in first place. Britt was a huge inspiration for the Women's team to pull out the victory over Brandeis.
Wronski was critical in RWU's tight win over Brandeis with three victories on the day. He split a 27.84 as the BR leg in the winning 200 Yard Medley Relay, as well as taking home first in the 50 Yard Breaststroke with a 28.09 and first in the 100 Yard Breaststroke with a 1:02.14.
In his collegiate debut, Giroux helped RWU squeak over Brandeis by taking first place on both boards. He'd go on to score a 239.1 on the 1-Meter and 182.62 on the 3-Meter. His performance helped lift his Men's team to a 3.5pt victory over Brandeis.
Roger Williams returns to the pool on October 19th for the Roger Williams University Williams Invitational.
