BOSTON, Mass. – The Roger Williams University fell 48-86 with second-ranked Tufts University Friday evening in the Tufts Tip-Off Tournament.

How It Happened
Tufts scored the first basket of the game before RWU came back with back-to-back layups to take the lead. The Hawks led 11-8 early after a jumper by Sam Leone, but the Jumbos closed the first quarter on a 10-2 run to lead 18-13 after 10 minutes.
 
In the second, a 15-4 run for the Jumbos halfway through the quarter extended their lead from five to 16. RWU was outscored 26-13 in the second quarter as Tufts took a 44-26 halftime lead.
 
Tufts would maintain a double-digit lead in the third and fourth quarters, as RWU suffered its first loss of the season.
