BOSTON, Mass. – A fourth-quarter surge helped push the Roger Williams University Women's Basketball team to a 60-55 win over MIT Saturday afternoon in the Tufts Tip-Off Tournament.

How It Happened
Sophie Araneo began the game with a basket for RWU. Later in the quarter, the Hawks held MIT scoreless over a four-minute stretch while extending their lead to ten (18-8). RWU would hold an 18-11 lead going into the second quarter. However, the RWU offense stalled in the period, scoring only two points in the second. The Engineers would turn a seven-point deficit into a seven-point halftime lead (27-20).
In the third, MIT continued to hold off RWU. The Hawks could not come closer than four in the period as the Engineers entered the final quarter leading by nine. The fourth quarter is where RWU would come alive, scoring 28 points in the period.
Gabby Jerahian scored a three that broke a 46-all tie that would put RWU on top for good.
