Volleyball Wins Season Finale; Soubliere Notches 100th Win

BRISTOL, R.I. – The Roger Williams University Women's Volleyball team concluded the regular season with a 3-0 win over the University of New England Saturday afternoon, with Head Coach Dani Soubliere earning her 100th career victory.

How It Happened
UNE began the match on a 4-0 run in the opening set. The Hawks would later use a 5-0 run to take 9-7 lead. However, UNE would tie things up at 12 apiece. The two squads would trade points back and forth until the Hawks broke a 15-all tie with a 7-1 run for a six-point advantage. RWU would take the set by a 25-17 margin.
 
The Hawks began set two by scoring five of the first seven points. RWU's lead stayed within three points for most of the early part of the set until a 7-2 run put the Hawks up 19-11. The Nor'Easters managed to pull within three late, but RWU would take the set 25-21.
 
A 10-5 Roger Williams run kicked off the third set. Maddie Neuberger was responsible for six of those points via three aces, two block assists, and a kill. UNE would not come closer than three the rest of the way (11-14), as an 11-3 run for Roger Williams gave the Hawks the 25-14 win.
