BRISTOL, R.I.—The Roger Williams Men's Tennis team lost to conference member Endicott College 3-6 on a Wednesday afternoon.
In doubles play, Matt Feldman (Duxbury, Mass.) and Dan Tacco (East Quogue, N.Y.) won over opponent's Christos Papadopoulos (Weymouth, Mass.) / Collin Dinardo (Westport, Mass.) 8-3. No. 1's,
Brendan White (Old Lyme, Conn.) and
Jared Deibe (Oakland, N.J.) and No. 2's
Thomas O'Leary (North Easton, Mass.) and
Miles Conlin (Branford, Conn.) both lost their matches 6-8 and 4-8 going into singles play.
Tacco won for the second time of the day in singles against Cooper Walters (Madeira Beach, Fla.) 6-4, 6-1.
Jake Cole (Sterling, Va.) was the Hawk's third and last win of the day against Papadopoulos 6-4, 6-2.
White lost to Daniel Rinkert (Ben Lomond, Calif.) 7-5 and 6-4 while Deibe lost by default to Charles Book (Devon, Pa.). O'Leary was defeated by Keaton McCleary (Charlotte, N.C.) in a close match that resulted in a third set 7-6, 3-6, 6-4. Feldman also fell short to Justin Toler (Concord, N.H.) 7-6, 6-4 that resulted in a final score of 3-6.
The Hawks conclude their regular season and start the first round of playoffs on Saturday April 27
th as the three seed.
