SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Roger Williams University Women's Soccer Team finished in a tie for fourth place in the Commonwealth Coast Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll, as it was announced Wednesday.

Endicott is the preseason favorite as determined by the CCC Preseason Coaches' Poll. The Gulls earned 75 points in the voting and claimed five of a possible nine first place votes that were cast by the league's nine women's soccer head coaches last week.

The University of New England was selected second in this year's voting with 69 points and three first place votes. Gordon earned the third spot in this year's poll with 61 points, followed by Roger Williams and WNE, both earning 53 points and tying for the fourth spot. The Hawks also earned the remaining first place vote.

Salve Regina (34 points), Wentworth (25), Curry (24), and Nichols (11) rounded out the poll in that order.

The team returns half of its starting lineup, including 2018 All-CCC Second Team senior Morgan Snow (Rowley, Mass.), who tied for the team lead in goals last season.

Eight teams get their non-conference schedules started on Friday, Aug. 30 to begin the women's soccer season. The first conference play date is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 21. The top seven teams in the conference standings at the end of the regular-season will compete for the CCC Tournament Championship which begins with three quarterfinal matchups on Saturday, Nov. 2. The quarterfinal winners will advance to the semifinals on Wednesday, Nov. 6 to compete for a berth in the CCC Tournament Championship on Saturday, Nov. 9.
