The third set was just as close as the second, with 11 ties and five lead changes. With the game tied at 22, the Hawks scored three straight points, punctuated by a service ace from
Maddie Neuberger to put RWU on the board. In the fourth set, the Hawks were up 24-20, needing only one point to force a deciding fifth set. However, Stevens scored four straight to come back and tie the game. Then with RWU holding on to a 27-26 lead, an RWU service error and two straight kills from Shelby Stewart gave the Ducks the match.
