BEVERLY, Mass. – The Roger Williams University Women's Volleyball team fell 1-3 to Endicott College Saturday afternoon in the second Commonwealth Coast Conference match for both teams.

How It Happened
Endicott began the match with a 9-4 run to begin the first set. The Gulls led by as many as 11 (24-13) before the Hawks attempted a late rally to stay within the game. RWU scored five straight points but succumbed to the Gulls 18-25.
Endicott's strong play continued in the second set, beginning the game on a 7-0 run before extending the lead to 12 (3-15). The Hawks were unable to dig themselves out of the hole, dropping the set by an 11-25 score.
Roger Williams fared much better in the third set, scoring the first two points of the set. Endicott overtook the lead with a 7-1 run to make it a 12-9 advantage. Roger Williams would come back and eventually grab a slim 16-15 lead. From there, the two squads traded points until RWU took a 24-22 lead.
Maddie Neuberger (Remsenburg, N.Y.) would clinch the winning point for the 25-23 game.
RWU trailed early in the fourth set but still remained within a couple of points of the Gulls to stay in the match. Yet halfway through the game, Endicott pulled away and never looked back. Holding on to a 12-10 lead, the Gulls used an 8-0 run to take a 10-point lead. An Endicott service ace punctuated the match, giving the Gulls the set by a 25-12 score.
